To the Lord Almighty, my God, my Savior, my Father: thank you for giving me this opportunity to share what you’ve done in my life with my dear brothers and sisters in Christ, Amen.
Why am I a Christian? When I think of this question, I think of my daughter’s Sunday School teachers, those missionaries that I’ve come to know and my brothers and sisters-in-Christ who are teaching God’s words, witnesses to Christ and those who have given personal testimonies.
was born in a family worshiping idols and I was also initiate since my childhood. But in 1994, when I was 17, an evangelist named Jean Kodjo came in my village (Naloate) and I gave my life to Christ at that age. My meeting with Pastor Jean Kodjo helps me a lot in my desire to find a real hope and also help to have a very good relationship with God when I was chosen by him as the leader of my local church which was under a tree until the time they built a church for us.
here really is no more important question. When someone asks me why I am a Christian, he or she is really asking “Why do you worship the God of the Bible?” This question gets at the issue of who or what matters most, and this has eternal implications.
elcome to a new part of the IAM site, which is dedicated to providing a place for people to share why they believe in Jesus Christ. Some of the material will stories. Some will be articles about why we believe in Christ and follow him now. This is not so much a place to offer abstract reasons for believing or to argue about religion. I think we are all a bit weary of that. It’s about how the greatest person who ever walked in this earth has touched our lives in ways that have transformed us for the better.
